Hi,
I've created the design for a form in Indesign CS3, I then made them an eps file, used distiller to make it a pdf with embedded fonts (Only Arial, Arial Bold, Arial Italic and Arial Bold Italic). I then overlayed form field elements on this pdf, including a send button. Some of the form fields use Javascript to create equations based on previous field entries.
I've enabled user rights and saved a new version as asked. The form is set to be emailed (using mailto:..) and is sending a complete PDF.
When I test the pdf in Acrobat Pro 8, I can send the email no problem with complete pdf attachment.
When I test the pdf in Reader 7, I get a warning that some of the extended rights are not working, and then when I click submit on the form, I get " Operation not permitted"
Would anyone have a solution to this?
I've made this for another user, who does not have pro, so she needs to be able to recieve the completed pdf's as a whole, not just the data from it.
Thanks!
If so, you should use the regular Button, rather than the Email Submit button. (I have Acrobat 9, so some of this may be different.) After you create the button, on the SUBMIT tab, enter the SUBMIT TO URL like this: mailto:?subject=Supply Requisition Request&body=Please find attached Supply Requisition Request form.
On the SUBMIT AS box, choose PDF.
See if that works for you.
