PDF Form/Document: Text field read only/uneditable in one computer

Hi. I have a form created in Acrobat 9 with text fields.

All the text fields work well, can add info, edit info. However, for one computer one/user (1) text field does not work. You can't do anything, and its like in a read-only state since you can't even put focus in it. This only happens to one user/one computer.

We all login with different user names and password when running our own machines. This person is using Acrobat 8 Standard.

Is there a setting issue here on the form that I must have overlooked or setting in his pc for Acrobat? Everybody in the group has no problem with the form except this particular user/computer.

This form is saved with Extend Features in Acrobat Reader enabled using Acrobat 9 Pro.

Hope someone can enlighten me.

Thank you.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.1.1, Windows

Did you test another user account on the affected computer? Maybe some file is corrupt in the user profile.
You can also try to delete the "Acrobat" folder under the user profile. It will be rebuild with the default settings on next start of Acrobat.
Under XP:C:\documents and settings\%username%\Application Data\Adobe\ Under Vista/7:C:\users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\

And, what happens to Acrobat after opening the form? Does it behave normal or does it crash?

There was a bug in the 1st release of Acrobat 8: did you try to update?
