Replace or change "original" PDF

I have created a pretty complicated form from an original PDF. I have sorted the form fields as I want them. Now to the question:

Everytime the original PDF has to be changed I need to:
- either recrate the complicated form fields with all sorting
or
- cut and past all form fields from the former version of the original PDF to the new version, and all sorting disappears and has to be redone all over again.

Does anyone know a better way to do it?

The best thing for me would be to simply replace the underlying PDF document with preserved form fields and sorting. Is that possible to do?

Acrobat Pro 9.3, Windows

Use the Replace Pages option. It will replace the old PDF pages with the new ones, while preserving the form fields, including their location, tab order, etc.
