revised form will NOT calculate

I am somewhat new to PDF forms but have managed to complete some forms with simple calculations (i.e.: qty x $ = Amt). Due to some program changes, I needed to revise the form and resave a new PDF file. I have opened the new file and was able to use the forms wizard and most of the form is OK except that the extended calculation does nothing at all. So I even went back to the old form to check reuse) the old properties for each related field and still the forms calculation just does not work.
I have replaced the fields, reset the properties... nothing. Can anyone suggest what I may have missed?
The formula is simple... Qty x $price = Extended amount

You need to keep a backup copy the PDF with form fields. Then you open a copy of the old form and use the 'Document => Replace pages' to replace the PDF content, art work, but retain all of the form fields and document scripts. Is it possible you've disabled automatic calculations: Edit > Preferences > Forms > Automatically calculate field valueor disabled JavaScript: Edit > Preferences > JavaScript > Enable Acrobat JavaScript
