Hi I'm using Adobe Acrobat 7 and I'm creating text fields so people can fill the data in. I just realized that when I opened the document in Adobe Reader 9 it only let's me fill in the form but won't let me save the form with the stuff that I filled it in with. Is there any way I can allow people who are Adobe Reader 9 to save the form with the data they put in? Thanks.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.1.4, Windows

Not with Acrobat Pro 7. You need to update to at least Acrobat 8 to get Form Save Enabling for Reader.

I have Acrobat Pro 9 and I was having the same issue. I have a form that my clients fills out and she wants to save it with the data she entered. I upgraded her acrobat reader to the latest version, you can fill it out but when you try to save it, it won't let you.

Hi toeknee77,

Did you enable the form with Save Rights in Adobe Reader? It is not applied automatically. Open the form in Acrobat 9 and go to the Advanced menu- select Extend Features in Adobe Reader then follow the prompts. This should be the last thing you do to your form. Making changes/edits after applying rights will remove them and require you to apply them again. It is a good idea to save the enabled form with a different file name so you keep the unenabled form for making changes.

Hope this helps,
