Is it possible to have a form set up so that a user can only open and fill in a copy of the form, with the original staying intact? In MS Word, the original document is a template.
Essentially you can do this and more with PDF forms; however, Acrobat doesn't use the Word template model. Based on your question, it's difficult to determine what you'll be doing with your forms. For example, do your end users have Acrobat or Reader? Are they accessing the form via the web, email, or network? However, to get similar functionality to the Word template capabilty, I recommend reviewing the Document security properties (File --> Properties) under the security tab. You can set security so that end users can only fill in form fields and not change anything else within the document.Hope this helps, Lori
