SEQUENTIAL NUMBERED PDF DOCUMENTS

Hi,

I am doing research and I would like to pre-number all my forms before going for data collection. I am not using interactive PDF forms for data collection, simply printed paper copies of the forms. However I want the forms to be pre-numbered so when I print them out it labels each package with the Study ID in a sequential way i.e. all forms in first package have Study ID 1001, then the next package printed is 1002, and so forth. I don't want to use Bates numbering. I am just looking for the equivalent of bookmark fields in Word or even mail merge so I can simply print out batches of forms with unique study IDs. I just got Adobe Professional 9.0 thinking it would have that sort of function and I am disappointed Word actually is more useful for this than Adobe product....

CAN ANYONE HELP??

Thanks.

Acrobat Pro 9.1.1, Windows

You can create a form field and increment this field each time the form is printed or create a script that opens and prints a series of your forms and updated a form field in each form for the ID.
