Our company has been using FDFs within our web portal for years. We are working on our next version that will be hosted by 2008 R2. Now we get the following error:

File does not begin with %PDF-

Any ideas?

The FDF file does exist on our server.
The contents of the FDF file correctly specify the full URL of the PDF file that should be used to display the FDF data.

Once we registered the FDF MIME type with IIS on our 2008 R2 server the problem was solved.
