Shortcut to import/export data to form

We have created an empty form ( in essence it is a work order) with fields to fill in as required. Once the blank form is open, on the toolbar under FORMS, I can go to Manage Form Data and either import or export data. What we are looking for is a shortcut to import or export rather than going the three or four steps. Not that we are lazy but it sure would cut time and around here every little bit helps. Do you have a suggestion or is there such a shortcut that we could create?

Thank you very much,

Harald

For importing data you could set up a Page Action to open the Select File Containing Form Data dialog box. Just ope the page thumbnail where you want to import the data and choose Properties from a context menu.

Click Actions and choose Page Open from the Select Trigger drop down menu. Choose Import form data from the Select Action drop down menu. This results in opening the Select File Containing Form Data dialog box where you can locate the file containing the data you want to import.

Exporting data would be more complicated to automate. You'd need a folder level JavaScript to add privileges then script a button. Consult the JavaScript Specification manual if you want to go this route.
