Signature Image Shows In Acrobat X PRO on MAC (OSX LION) But Doesn't Print

Have a PDF Form with a signature image (PNG with no background) to save owner of form need to constantly sign a printed version of form.

I sized and added the image file to form field, where it shows up nicely when I view the field or edit it in Acrobat PRO.

But when I print the form, the signature image completely disappears.

Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or recommended tutorials on how to create and embed a signature image into a form that will print out as readily as a form's field labels.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

first, be sure that the signature form field is not "visible but doesn't print" (in the Properties window).

Hey Merlin,

Love the Eraserhead doo :)

The PNG signature image doesn't appear to offer the usual range of property options that include "visible but doesn't print", but rather a narrow range of options associated with custom stamps. The signature file was imported into the custom stamp palette.

Took a screenshot to send you, but there appears no where in this forum to send/upload it.

Curiously, even when I try adding a dynamically drawn "Apply Ink Signature" from the "SIGN AND CERTIFY" panel of Acrobat X Pro, the resulting hand drawn sig doesn't preview or print either.

Very puzzling....

In the Print dialog, do you have Document & Markups selected? If it is on "Document" the signature will not print.
