I am using Sharepoint 2010 and Reader to access fillable forms that are used by midwives. The problem is that it takes a very long time to open these documents. Reader stops responding and if you click again the screen goes grey and then after about 30 seconds the form pops up. All computers are using Windows 7. Is there a workaround for this? The integration is great but is this what is causing the problem?

If so, unoptimize it and try again.
It will now take longer until the form becomes available, because it has to download completely before it is usable, but then it will work normally.
Also, which viewer version are the clients using? They say that there are some Reader 10 version which are very slow displaying forms. Updating to the newest version may also help.
