Speeding manual tab reordering - a question

When manually reordering field tab order, dragging fields is painfully slow when you have a lot of fields on the same page, and the farther you have to move the more painful. Is there a technique to speed that process?

I find it intractable as well. This issue is a big reason I keep Acrobat 7 around. I don't know if you've used it, but the method for setting the tab order for fields is IMO far more efficient.

I still have my Acrobat Pro 6.0 on CD. (1) Would that have the same tab ordering attribute as version 7? (2) Can it be installed on the same computer as Acrobat 9, but to a different directory, without conflicting with version 9?

Not recommended by Adobe and others. There are just too many shared modules used by Acrobat. Even if it appears to work correctly, you never know when it will not.

Yes, the same method is available with Acrobat 3-7. I think Acrobat 8 had it too, but there were a lot of bugs reported having to do with setting the tab order. I never used it.

I have Acrobat 7 installed on my Windows 7 machine along with Acrobat 9, but running in the virtual machine provided by XP mode.
