Submit Button Issues

I have created a form in Acrobat with a custom built submit button working through the the button options and actions. But when I distribute the form, the purple message bar at the top appears with an additional submit button. How do I remove this message bar? I just need the submit button I created and not the additional one on the top message bar.

I want to set up a custom submit process, and not have the form sent back to me. I don't need to track the responses either.

I have edited my preferences to select that the message bar will not show at the top, and I have used the form wizard to create the fields for me. I have also tried not distributing the form, but when I open it, I receive an error message of not being able to save the completed form, just print only.

This will be a re-release of an updated form that I created 6 months ago. At that time, the submit button functioned properly and the message bar did not appear, because I had the custom submit button. Also, all of my old forms that were previously correct now show up with the submit message bar at the the top, as well as the button I created. A coworker found the same duplicate functions when he opened his old forms.

Has anyone had the same type of issue? Any ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated!

When you distribute a form using the Distribution Wizard it overrides your custom submit button. If you don't need to track the responses, then I would bypass the Distribution Wizard.
