I have the same (similar) question. I am new to the electronic form capability. I do not yet have Acrobat Professional 8. I will consider it if I can understand how this works.

If I create a form that gets filled out and have a submit button on it. How does the data get back to my server? Is it an https transaction?

I created a form in Lifecycle, On my computer I can press the submit button and the form is mailed to the email addresss that I have for the form. When I take the form to a associates computer they are not able to submit the form. This is a form we want to put on the web for our customers to be able to submit. Help

This is far far too much information to put into a single post. Look at the FAQs for these forums and the tutorials and articles on the home page.

All of what you want to do is available to forms created in Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer whether Reader or Acrobat is used by the client. But there are numerous restrictions that have very different solutions. Some will involve enabling special extended reader form rights, using databases, submitting to a web script or using WebDev.
