Tab Order

I am a beginner using Acrobat 8.0 professional. I have set up an interactive application which works fine but I have reset the tab order several times but when I put it on our Web site, the tab order goes back to the original order when I open it as a user in Acrobat Reader 8.01. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mstickney,

What setting do you have selected for tab order under the Page Properties menu? You can locate this menu by right-clicking on the first page of your form in the Pages navigation pane. Selecting "Unspecified" under the tab order menu will allow you to manually set the tab order (make sure you do this for all the pages in your form).

Hi,

It might be that the old PDF is cached on your test computer. Does the file work locally? If so, clear your browser's cache and try it again. You can force this by renaming the file slightly and updating the link with your web page software (such as Dreamweaver).

If not, be absoluelty certain that you are overwriting the old file with the new version. Again, renaming it might make it easier to locate the actual updated version of the file.

Thank you for the amazinly fast response. Unfortunately, your suggestions did not work out. I renamed the file and uploaded it again. If works fine when I open it from the computer that has 8.0 professional but does not work on any other computer. I tested it further by emailing it from one of my personal emails to another personal email and opened it on the computer with Professional. I then went to another computer and logged into my personal email and the tab order didn't work. Any other suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
