Text field properties box - stop popping up!

Hi!

In my line of work, I am constantly creating text boxes. Every single time I create a new box, the text field properties box pops up right in my face. I rarely need to use it, and it is so annoying! Does anyone know how I can fix it so it doesn't automatically pop up everytime I want to create a new text box?

Thank you!

This is standard behavior that in Acrobat 9 and earlier cannot be changed. However, you need to close the properties dialog. Just move it over to the side and keep working. Another method is to copy text fields rather then creating new ones. The popup is not shown in this case.

The form field creation flow is a bit different in Acrobat X. Acrobat displays a smaller popup that is easier to deal with.

Using the Select object tool, you can drag and drop a field when pressing the ALT key : it duplicates.

Also Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V will duplicate the field without opening the properties dialog.
