Text Field Properties - Can I change the default?

I am using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional. To enter text fields I am currently doing the following:
Tools -> Advanced Editing -> Text Field Tool
When I draw in the text box, the Text Field Properties box pops up. It shows a default on the Appearance Tab of: Font Size (auto); font (Helvetica). I would like all of my text boxes to have: Font Size (10); font (Times). I have been changing the properties for each text box (which is a real pain). Is there anyway that I can reset the default 1) for this document or 2) for all future documents?
Many thanks.

Wendy

Hi WendyFay23,

It has been a long time since I've used Acrobat 7 and I don't have it installed but try this- create a text field and set the properties the way you want. Close the Properties dialog box, then Right Click on the text field and select the option "Use Current Properties as Default." This works in version 8 and higher and I think it will for 7 but again I don't have that version available to check it right now.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

Hi Dimitri
Thanks so much for your quick response. It works!!!
Our institution is still using Acrobat 7 and I've found that most of the tutorial are for 10 (or at least 8 or 9). Hopefully they will upgrade us soon.
All the best

Wendy
