Unable to add Office files when Packaging PDFs

I am trying to use the Package PDF function in Acrobat 8 and I am unable to select any Word or Excel files. I'm only able to select PDF and image files. Everything I see says you can do this and it will convert the files to PDFs using this function, but I'm unable to. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you create PDF from Word or Excel files by using the Adobe PDF Converter add-in for MS Office/
