Our client currently use acrobat reader version 6 and have rejected drawings we have provided. PDF'd in version 8 as they are unable to open them.
The error reads "there was an error processing a page. there was a problem reading this document (110)" then opens to a blank page.
files open fine from version 8 reader.
As they are a client and large corporation we are unable to dictate which version they use or suggest an upgrade. Is there a way to downgrade the files so they will be readable?
Appreciate some advise as currently printing and scanning the files to PDF

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.1.1, Windows

With one of the files open in v8, if you use the menu item 'Advanced > PDF Optimizer' you see a dialog that offers backward compatibility optimizations. That should do the trick, but you may already be in that situation, and something else is amiss.

I have had the same error just recently, but I was using version 9.3.3. This is for several documents on line on the internet. I also am having other problems with opening pdf files using Adobe Acrobat Reader v. 9.3.3.

I ran into a similar problem and found out on the adobe user forums that Acrobat Reader 9.3.3 has known issues with Google Chrome (known at least to the user community...nothing from adobe or google as yet).

Download the .pdf using IE and then all is well.
