User Adjustable Forms?

Multiple times I have been assigned similar projects at work and I cannot complete them because no one knows if this is possible.

What I'm looking for is a way to be able to imput a wide range of text into a particular box. For example: one user might need to imput an entire page, while another may only need one line of text. Is there a way to make the fields adjust with the amount of text within the field above them?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.1, Windows

Hi scderacjor,

Sure, use LiveCycle Designer, not Acrobat to create your form (and by the way, in case you didn't know, LCD comes in the box with Acrobat so you already have it). One of the biggest advantages LCD has over Acrobat is the ability to create growable/flowable fields in a form without over-running any other content in the form. You users could enter as much as they like and new pages will be created if needed with content flowed correctly. There are on-demand e-seminars here at AUC that show step by step how to set up flowable fields in LCD.

Hope this helps,

I would be very interested in a response to this issue, too. I created a form using the Form Wizard in Acrobat Pro 9, importing a MS Word document as the form template. But the users of the form do not like having to scroll through text whedn it goes beyond the visible size of the text field, and if you print the form you can not see the text below the edge of the text field.

I saw one article on the Internet that said you can do this using Acrobat LifeCycle Designer, but it involved numerous sub-forms and "wrapping" the sub-forms, something that I have no experience in doing.

Is there a way using the form wizrd in Acrobat, to make a text field expand as text is entered?

Sorry, I didn't see the response from Dimitri! I'll review the e-seminars to figure out how to re-do the form.
