I am tunning 9.2 Pro trial version. Every time I open an existing PDF file, Acrobat opens and scans the file, puts up a popup that says "welcome to Editing , etc.
Then I get popup that says:
"Acrobat 9.2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience"

Happens every time with every pdf file I try to open. I would not have expected this sort of problem
in trial software they are trying to get me to purchase. What am I missing. Any/all help appreciated.
Thanks
Jake

Can you post an example of the type of PDF that gives you problems when opening in the Forms Wizard?

Hi. Not sure how to post the files. It was easy enough when I opened the initial posting but now.....
I went to https://acrobat.com/ , signed up and went to upload files. I selected some files but it's not apparent to me how to proceed further. Hate to be so obtuse but I'll need a bit of help getting these files to you. Thanks

I see you posted your files in the U2U forum. I didn't have any problem running the Form Wizard on them so I'm guessing it has something to do with the msvcr.dll error that your getting as detailed in your application log file.

As I suggested on your other U2U post, try Repairing your Acrobat installation to see if it corrects the problem.

If you have antivirus software such a ZoneAlarm installed, this could be causing the issue too.

HI. Thought I'd put a status update in here for tracking purposes and just in case anyone else is following it.

I tried changing Acrobat auth in Zone Alarm to OK across the board. Still hit error.

I created a new user on my XP system. With that id I was able to use the Forms Wizard successfully.
However, when I tried to edit a field I hit the error again.
Since you were able ti use Forms Wizard on files that I encountered error on would indicate that my environment is messed up regarding msvcr80.dll

I don't know how to resolve this. I have 11 instances of msvcr80.dll on my machine.
