Hi all,

I have created a PDF form in Adobe Professional 8, and connected it to a web service. I have also enabled user management rights on this PDF.
The web service is validated and in working order.

When running the PDF in Adobe 8 Pro, the web service calls works OK. However, once I run the PDF in Reader 7/8, the web service does not work.
No error messages at all.

Can some one advise whether web services work in READER?... will it work in Reader 9??

THANKS!!!

Ignacio

Adobe Reader cannot import data by default. However, this capability can be “unlocked” on a form-by-form basis by using LiveCycle Reader Extensions (you might also try having Forms do the data import on the server and serve the resulting PDF to the free Reader). LiveCycle Reader Extensions also allows you to enable things like data import for a specific PDF.
