Why do my check boxes now appear black?

While working on forms, I would click on the checkbox and a check mark appeared. This is all great. After working on several forms suddenly all the selected text boxes appear as a black box. I opened several previously completed forms and they all have this black box instead of the checkmark.

What did I do, and how can I fix this?

Thanks for any help

Well let me answer my own question. When you have the "click highlight fields" activated, the checkmarks appear in the checkboxes. When it is deactivated, the selected checkboxes appear solid black. I assume that is how they will print, too.

As a follow up, I'm still having problems with the check box tool.

When I have the form fields highlighted while filling out a form, it will show a check mark when I click on a checkbox.

However, when I print the completed form, the box is filled in completely, no check mark.

I have used the check box tool, selected the checkbox, clicked Properties/Options/Style and selected Check. Is there something else I need to do so the form will PRINT with a checkmark, not a black box?

Thanks for any help, this is baffling.

What are the check boxs' "Fill" color property?

It should not be "Black".

The Fill and Border are none

Font size is Auto and Text Color is Black

Check Box Style is Check

Export Value is On

I'm baffled. Doesn't matter which printer I print on, it still prints a blacked out square instead of a checkmark inside the square box.

Thanks for any help.

Well it's been a couple of weeks and no one seems to have an answer. Is there a technical support line or other expert source that I should address this issue to?

I really appreciate the help this forum provides, but it seems I've stumped even the experts that frequent this forum....

Please let me know of any other source I can go to for help.

Well I finally figured it out, but I don't know why this fixed it. For the benefit of others who may have the same problem.

In the Check Box Properties dialog, under the General tab, I did not have a NAME entered for the check box field. Once I entered a Name, the form printed fine.

Seems strange to me but if it works I won't argue.
