XML data to PDF fields

How does one import data from the cells of an XML file into the fields of a PDF? (I have Adobe Acrobat 8 pro). I know the process for importing data using adobe but I dont know how to set up the XML file so that the data transfers to the PDF fields. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

You can export an XML file from your PDF and then see how its built and how you could convert your XML file to the PDF standard.
