Adding a Dynamic Form (made in LCD) to another Dynamic Form (made in LCD)

I have an assignment to add several dynamic forms built with LCD ES 8.2.1....

Each dynamic form is constructed with heading & footer master page, content consisting of tables with expandable rows, and then a Master page at the end containing signature information.

Each form works well and prints.

I am asked to compile one larger dynamic LCD Form out of each of these others, and have each form exactly as it is on its own.

So far I have tried many things but nothing has worked the way it is envisioned to look. I did make a portfolio of the 5 dynamic files I was working with.
Is that the only way this can be done?

Please enlighten me.
Thanks!
Marla

Combining the files in a portfolio is a very clean solution. It avoids the very time consuming and error prone work of copying content from each form.

But it is possible to copy one form into another. Say you have two forms, FormA and FormB. You want to merge FormA into FormB. Open both forms in LiveCycle Designer. On FormA, in the hierarchy window select the top level page node (not the form node), then on the Edit menu select "Copy". Switch to Form A. In the hierarchy window select to top level form node, then on the edit menu select "Paste". That's it.

Forms can also be copied by creating custom objects out of the page subforms. Then all the form pages will appear on the Custom tab in the object library.

Hi Thom,

So, you have listed FormA and FormB and then switch to Form A. Did you mean FormA? Copying from and to FormA doesn't make sense.

Also, I've tried to select the top level page node - are you referring to Page 1 or to (untitled content area) directly below Page 1? In trying to copy Page 1 but couldn't (because the copy button is greyed out when attempting to copy Page 1).

So I tried copying the top level (untitled content area) I was able to copy it but when I pasted it into the other form, what appeared is which didn't help.Am I missing a step or two here? Is there a procedure for this anywhere? Thanks again for your help.

I was referring to the top level page subform for the main form content, not the master pages, which is what I believe you are saying you tried to copy. The top level Page Subform is usually labeled as "Untitled Subform (Page 1)". Unless it has been renamed.
