adobe designer form

Hi, I am using Adobe Designer for a form, in it I have a text box which I do not want to have expand. I would like it to be forced to a specific size and contain a limited amount of information .

I set the Object -field- values to limit to appearance and multi-lines.
When I open the form in Acrobat 8.0 it works fine. When you reach the bottom of the field it stops. We also have people using acrobat 7 and it does not stop the text from being entered. I have saved the file as a Acrobat 7 dynamic.

How can I force the text entered to be only in the area( box) defined?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7.0.5, Windows
