I am attempting to incorporate a diagram into my form which the user would use to indicate buildings on premises. Is there some way to make a diagram where the user would click or draw a line through the boxes to denote buildings? I tried using the check boxes, but that is proving to be way too cumbersome. Is there a way the user could use some type of highlighting feature to draw a thick line through the diagram to show the buildings? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Will the diagram be static? Meaning the buildings stay in the same location and the user would just highlight the appropriate building? or do the buildings change location?

If same, you might try buttons to highlight the buildings. If different, you could encourage user to create a diagram in a different format (.jpg) and import as an image.---just some suggestions. Your question is a bit vague

I like the idea of the user submitting a diagram as a jpg and then importing as an image. But for some of our users, they may find this "difficult." The diagram would be made up of a bunch of little boxes (like a small grid) and the user would (ideally) have the ability to highlight (or "draw") the grid which would depict where their buildings are. The grid (small boxes) would be static and depending upon the location(s) of the buildings, various grid spaces would be highlighted. Any additional help would be helpful!! I tried to do this with check boxes, thinking that the user could click and show the highlighted portion. But this is proving to be very difficult also. And I don't see where a user can himself draw straight lines onto the form in Adobe Read. Sorry to be such a pain!! THANKS AGAIN!!
