I have a form I created and I need the field to auto grow as the user inputs information. I can attach a copy of the form if needed.

You can find the settings for the "autogrowing" in the layout palette of the fields.

You have to save the form as a 'dynamic' form.

The form was created from another form. The original form was in word. I brought the form over and in LiveCycle tried to make the form work as intended. I read somewere the form needed to have a subform in order for it to work, is this correct?

Kenpfs,

I started out the same way. I ended up dumping the Word form and using it only as a guide and I created a new one using Livecycle Designer. BUT I learned as I created. I suggest you read many posts on this site regarding forms, dynamic vs static, subforms, the architecture of the form, buttons and other features before even starting.

You'll save yourself a LOT of trouble and end up with a much cleaner form.

good luck!
