Automatically converting email address into a "mailto" hyperlink

Good Afternoon Everyone,

New to the wonderful world of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Livecycle Designer.

My query is as follows:

I am creating a form that will collect various kinds of information, one of them being the users email address. Is it possible to have the email address that the user enters automatically converted into a "mailto" hyperlink? Much like in word processors when you type a website address it automatically turns it into a hyperlink.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

Tricky, The answer is Yes and No. What you are asking for is a custom text editor control for livecycle. You could actually build such a beast using mouse and keyboard events to control Rich text in the input box. But this solution would be difficult and awkward. It wouldn't be as nice as word. And there is no easy way.
