While a normal pdf is being opened on Designer, the pic and the text are lock which mean i have no option to edit them. Is there any tools within the Designer to edit them?
And when the interactive pdf form are opened and saved via designer, the form properties get changed. Why is this happening? How could we have the same box,button,etc even after saving from designer.
The Acrobat PDF's are static file, Designer PDF's are static or dynamic XML-file housed in a PDF-container.
If you import a Acrobat-PDF into LiveCycle Designer, many option there are grayed out, because the cannot be used on static PDF's (non XML-forms).
So you can't edit any layout thing like images, backgrounds etc.
To have a fully editable form in LiveCycle Designer, you will need to build it there from the start.
Every PDF created with LiveCycle Designer can't also be edited with Acrobat, as you see in the properties tab or in the toolbar. Most of the tolls are grayed out.
