I created a PDF form in LiveCycle Designer which is opened through a web link. It was saved in reader format. (save copy as) Users using adobe reader can submit the attachment but anyone that has writer installed gets an error after the e-mail client starts and cannot submit form. This only happens to clients that have Adobe writer installed. All others using adobe reader work great. The error is: Adobe 8 has encountered a problem and needs to close. There is debug info and after I close these screens I get an error The instruction at 0x2d88727b referenced memory at 0x0000008. The email client we use is Groupwise 6.5.4 on a windows xp pro SP2 platform.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8, Windows

Hi defrog,

This problem is similar in nature to the one outlined on this technical note from Novell at:
http://www.novell.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=10085301&sliceId=&dialogID=43981777&stateId=0043985648This issue was related to the version of Windows messenger that was installed.

Let me know if you think this might be the problem.

Thanks,
Lori
