Can't load any forms in LiveCycle 8

Now I'm scared - I did a complete uninstall/reinstall of Acrobat Pro Extended this morning in the hopes of fixing this issue - (any document I try to go back into and open that I created in LC gets me the dreaded "ALCDesigner ES has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience - Please tell Microsoft about this problem). To no avail - still getting it. I don't think it completely uninstalls, though, becasue even though I had a backup of my Objects Library saved in a different location, ready to load with a new install so I could have all of my library stuff back, they were already (or more like it, still) in there when I opened LCD8.
Any suggestions for getting completely rid of the app and REALLY getting a fresh install?
Other ideas??
