I have a form produced from LiveCycle 8.0.

Here's the Security Features on it.

PRINTING: Allowed
DOCUMENT ASSEMBLY: NOT Allowed
CONTENT COPYING: Allowed
CONTENT COPYING FOR ACCESSIBILITY: Allowed
PAGE EXTRACTION: NOT Allowed
COMMENTING: Allowed
FILLING OF FORM FIELDS: Allowed
SIGNING: Allowed
CREATION OF TEMPLATE PAGES: Allowed

On my form, I have a text field where users can enter tons of words; a Summary textfield. It is also saved as Dynamic to keep the flowed of the form to the next page (if needed). I also allowed users to save the filled out form.

When I looked for a "text" in the document (form), it came as "No matches found". Why? I'm using Acrobat Reader 8.0.

PLEASE HELP or my head is up for grab for other IT slaves out there.

Thank you.

as per my other message, I've found something.

I can search the words that were embeded to the document, like:

First Name: ______________

I can search the word "first" or "name" but I can't search whatever is entered in the text field.

WHY??????

The form layer is not searchable in forms create by AcrForms or LiveCycle Designer. It form fields could be searchable for a form that can be flattened. LiveCycle Designer does not support the flattening of forms. But forms created using Acorbat's Form Tool (AcroForms) can be flattened.

Thanks a lot, gkaiseril.

But here's what I've noticed. When I do a search using my Acrobat Pro 8, I can do it, but not with reader.

thanks.
