Change borders for required fields

I have created a form in Livecycle Designer 8. Is there any way to change the red border around required fields to something less obnoxious? A thinner red border, maybe?

You can turn field highlighting off with the "app.runtimeHighlight" property, but I haven't found a way to get rid of that red outline on required fields.
