Changing behavior of Submit Button

I've created a form in Live Cycle with a Submit by email button. Viewing the XML data for the button shows the format to be "XML" When I distribute the form using Acrobat, and a recipient uses the submit button, I recieve in return a PDF, not an XML file. Examining the XML data for the Submit button in the PDF that one of my recipients recieved from me when I distributed the form clearly shows that the format for the Submit button had changed from "XML" to "PDF" ! This happens whether I let the wizard create the button or if I manually create the button.

How can I stop this from happening?

Can you post the XML action associated with the Submit button?
