In Designer 7.1.2 I have changed the default font Myriad Pro with Arial by going into the XML Source, do a Find, and then replace the font with Arial. I am not sure how you can change the font size. Will this work in 8.0 for you?

Yes this works but how do I do it so I don't have to keep changing it or do a find and replace.

gfergy,

You would have to modify the objects in the Library palette so that when you drag them onto your form, they use the font you want. To do this, create a new form, drag, say, the text field object onto it, use the Font palette to give it the font and size that you want as the default, then drag the text field back into the Library palette's Standard tab (where you originally dragged it from). You will get a little dialog where you can specify a name. Specify the same name and you'll get the opportunity to replace the text field in the Library palette with this customized version.

You can also create a new panel within the library and save your customized objects in it rather than overwriting the standard ones.

I am not a programer, I am a simple user who is using a Trial Version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I cannot figure out how to do this; Change the default Font type and size in the text boxes on an entire form I created without right-clicking on EVERY box and going to properties and then changing each text box. There has to be a simple way. I read about Library Paette but, where do I find the library palette. If I cannot do what I want this to do, I am not going to spend the money to buy it.
Any SIMPLE suggestions?

If you've already created the form you need to do it by hand or by search and replace in the XML. You can select multiple fields of the same type (using CTRL and SHIFT) and change them at the same time

To fix this for future forms, create your own Object Library and as you create fields the way you want them to look, drag them into the Library for future use. I have several libraries set up for different types of forms.

Unfortunately there are no style sheets.
