compile xml data

I constantly use LiveCycle Designer to create forms and compile the xml files in Excel. However, when I switched from Acrobat 7 to 8, this function stopped working. Our school does not get Adobe support. Has anyone heard of this problem and how to fix it?

This function should still work in Acrobat 8/LiveCycle Designer. There is a some detailed information on how to do this in the following forum thread by Carl Young:
