Hi,

We have 7 page form which was created last year in LS 7. We needed to update it but now in LS8, the XML source does not open at all. LS will get stuck with the wait cursor. In LS 8.2 ES, the XML source does open but if I change even one thing in the whole form and try to save it, it crashes. All machines are XP Pro SP3, 2GB RAM, 2GHz Dual Core Desktops. We have got LS 8 on 3 machines and 8.2ES on one. Have tried on all but nada. Any idea what can be wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Regards.

Ok, got it working. May be it will help somebody esle to so here is the problem and solution. For some reason, in the border node for many fields, there were as many as 50k instances of "<?templateDesigner StyleID aped0?>". Have no idea what should have had caused something like that to happen, but if somebody could shed some light on it, will be great. Anyways, after cleaning out (yes manually :-S), the page xml source was reduced to about from 5400K to just about 38k and now the form works fine. I know something/ someone caused those bloated lines, but shouldn't the designer be able to clean up such code. I mean If i end up writing something like this -It should be able to clean it up to

Because as long as it does, I think it is going to make rendering faster as there will be very little of duplicate/redundant tags to parse.
