Creating Larger Bold X For Checkboxes

I am designing a form with LC Designer and i would like to have the X in my checkboxes be bold and larger than the box itself. I have used a form in the past that had a bold X in the checkboxes and it looked liek a brush script type font, and it extended over the edge of the check box so you could tell without a doubt which check box was selected.

Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this?

Thanks for the help,
Jimmy

Hi,

I don't believe that you can have a default 'x' in the checkbox that extends beyond its border.

You can change the check type in the Object > Field palette, eg default, check, circle, cross, diamond, square and star. You can also set the size to something greater than the default 10pt.I find the square check type useful, as it does not imply a positive/negative response, like a check style. Also it appears very visible on the screen and in the print out.

As a last resort you could set the border of the checkbox to none and then drag a rectangle and place it behind the checkbox. This could be sized to give you the effect, but would mean aligning two objects for a single field.

Good luck,

Niall

Hope this helps,
