Creating letters with variable fields

I'm trying to create a standard business letter with fields for dates and company names within the body of the text. Is there a way in Adobe Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer to add a field that will allow the surrounding text of the paragraph to expand or contract depending on the size of the field?

I have Word 2007, Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0, LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 and Windows XP.

Thanks much!

You can use the floating field feature of Designer.

Wow, thanks Radzmar. I've never written scripts before. I'll have to take a while and see if I can understand the scripting references. Apool

For floating fields you generally don't need scripts.
The floating fields representing the same values as fields with the same name in the form and a global binding.

The only script you need is
xfa.layout.relayout();
This has to be placed into the exit event of the fields.

Check the help of Designer for more details.
