I am trying to export xml data files to a csv file in Acrobat 8 using the forms>forms manage data> merge data files into spreadsheet option.
Whether I export a single or multiple files from xml to csv, the output in Excel displays only the file names, not the actual data. The forms from which the data files were obtained were all created in LiveCycle Designer 8. The same feature in Acrobat 7 and Acrobat 9 works fine with the same data files. The output is correct. Is this a problem specifically with Acrobat 8 and LiveCycle Designer? I saw the same issue reported in an old 2007 adobe forum, but do not see a resolution or explanation posted anywhere on either the user forums or KB. Note: I also tried it in a local installation of Acrobat 8.1.2 and got the same results as in Acrobat 8.1.1 Enterprise version. Does anyone know of a workaround for this or is this a known issue?
