Date stamp whacko

The date of birth field (Date/Time Field) in my form only goes back to 1-1-1930. For dates earlier than that it is jumping ahead a hundred years(!). What is wrong? I am running my Form from LiveCycle Designer 8.0 on Win XP SP2 platform. Thanks!

This is a limitation, and a bug, in the calendar control. It looks like you'll need to do something else to handling earlier dates.

It's interesting that I haven't heard of this before, or even run into it myself. You may just be the only person in the world who's using dates before 1930 in LiveCycle. If this is true, then I wouldn't expect it to ever be fixed. You'd better find another solution for your dates.

Thanks for your thoughts Thom. I actually have solved the problem myself, by sheer trial and error. You will need to change the locale (in Field sub-tab under object tab)to English-United Kingdom instead of default locale, system locale or USA. Other locales may work, but I didn't try. With this selection, the "bug" fixes itself !Rosenthal at the CRE8 conference in Orlando said this was going to be fixed with the Adobe Update due soon (back in May). I sure hope it has!
