Designer 7 Calculation Override Box not working

I made a form in LiveCycle Designer 7.0. I made one checkbox field a "Calculated - User can Override" to remind user of box function when they click on it. Reader 8.1 users do not see the Calculation Override pop-up box when they click on it, but Reader 7 users do. I tried saving it as an "Adobe 6 Compatible [Static]" and "Dynamic PDF Form File". Is there anything I can do to enable users with newer versions of Reader to see the box? -Thanks in advance!

Hi jmason,

This was a bug in Designer 7.0 and it was fixed in version 8. Check out this thread on the Adobe.com Livecycle forum at:

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the problem you're seeing however I get the impression that you're attempting to use the "Calculate - Override" as some of tooltip to inform the user of something. You should try using the ToolTip property in the Accessibility palette instead for this sort of thing.
