I am trying to see if it is possible to capture the users logon name for the Digital Signature field. I would like to make the Digital signature more secure to prevent others from signing someone else's name on the document. Right now you set up the Digital Signature, but you can put what ever you want in there and then sign as that person. Can anyone help me out with how to restrict the Digital signature field to certain individuals or to be able to capture their logon names?
One drawback, though, Acrobat will not ask you for the password of the login ID to apply the signature. In this case you can prove the certificate, but not who signed it. Using the self signed model you can prove who signed it (a specific signature) but cannot prove the certificate (it's owner).
Hope this helps.
