Drop-Down List Default Text Not Centered When Printing

I am having an issue with the default text value in a drop-down menu on my form. I populate the list with three items and then choose one for a default value. The default text appears centered on the screen when viewing the form, but when it prints it is left justified. The only way to solve this is to actually click in the field and select the value which is already displayed. If you are opening the form for the first time as the end user and print without selecting the field, the default value will be left justified and not centered.

This issue is happening on a form created in MS Word and converted to Adobe. I used Livecycle to place the fields. When I create a new form in Livecyle and cut and paste the same field in a new document, everything works fine. Very strange.

Is there any known solution for this?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
