Dynamic Table based off of marked checkboxes

I am trying to create a dynamic table that adds rows if a particular check box is marked on a separate page. In other words, if nothing is checked, the table would just include a header row. If "Product 1" check box is marked, I need a row to be added with the first cell including the words "Product 1" (the other cells within the row need to be text boxes that the user can type in.) If just the "Product 2" check box is marked, the words "Product 2" will appear in the first cell on the first body row, and the rest of the cells within the row will be form-fillable. If "Product 1" and "Product 2" check boxes are marked, the table would include two rows below the header ... with "Product 1" and "Product 2" in the first cell of each row.

Is this possible in LiveCycle 8.0?

LiveCycle Designer, Windows

Hi jenniferbunecke,

Yes, this is possible. It requires a decent understanding of scripting and the hierarchy of LiveCycle Designer forms. If you are new to LCD forms and/or scripting the On-Demand E-seminars here at AUC on LiveCycle Designer scripting are a good place to start. Go to the Learning Center and search the E-seminars for LiveCycle Designer and watch the ones on using dynamic features and scripting. After viewing those, there are articles with sample files included on dynamic scripting in the Learning Center under Tutorials- search "JavaScript" for the full listing. Also check out the forms Gallery where AUC members have posted forms with a variety of features, including dynamic table options. You may not find an exact solution, but you will gain a good understanding of how to accomplish what you want to do.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri
