Email a read-only version ?

Does anyone know how to email a "read-only" version of a PDF?
I want the user to fill out a form and hit the email button, but I
don't want to send the PDF that is changable, I just want to send
the pdf that is filled in and NOT editable. Hope this makes sense.
I tried all the "cSubmitAs" choices and "PDF" sends the whole form,
programming and all (which I don't want).

If I can't do that, I'd like to send a "Printable" only copy of my PDF,
I only want the person that receives the email to be able to print it out, not edit it.

Thanks for any help,

Rod

Hello Rod,

You can accomplish your goal by setting some security properties that will prevent editing.

In Acrobat: Click > File >Properties> and click the Security tab. From the drop down list, select Password Security and select the security options that will prevent editing.

Thanks,

Is there a way I can do this on the fly? Like on a submitForm
(email) button???

I paid Adobe $1200 (Sivler support) to have them tell me NO, I can't Email a read-only version of my form (on a button).

What I had to do (which sucks) is I had to HIDE all the buttons and fields except the few I wanted the person that receives the email to see. So they still get a 1.2 meg file but only can see 1 page of some field names & data.Rod
