Enabling PDF for Reader disables import function

I have a form created with LiveCycle Designer that I save as a PDF with a target version of 7.0.5. I have import/export buttons that work correctly until I enable the PDF for Reader users to be able to save the form.

Before and after enabling neither import or export work with Reader.

Only after enabling, the export button will work but not the import button using a full version of Acrobat. Do you think this a bug or is it intentional? Is there a workaround?

Script on the click event of the Import button: xfa.host.importData();
Testing with Adobe Reader 7.1 and using Acrobat Pro 9.1 to "Extend Features in Adobe Reader".

Thanks,
Siri

If you are asking if you can import data or export data using Reader, the answer is no, even with Extended Rights in Reader. I was hoping to use this also, and found out that it just doesn't work in Reader.

No, I wasn't trying to get Reader users to be able to import or export. My import button "broke" for Acrobat users when enabling for Reader users though. So I want Reader users to be able save AND Acrobat users to be able to import/export. I'm starting to think that this might be a bug since even my attempts to get an answer from Adobe are turning up with nothing.

I also just noticed that it "breaks" the button I'm using to allow users to add attachments... Maybe not a bug, but that way on purpose?? Wish I knew either way...
