Error in Adobe Reader When "Save As" button or "e-Mail to" button used

I have created a form for use at work and put in two buttons that will not work in reader but do work when I open the form in Adobe Acrobat. Is there a way to make these buttons functional to a user who only has Adobe Reader?

The E-Mail button is Javascript "mailto:name [at] company [dot] com; name2 [at] company [dot] com"
The Save as button is Javascript "app.execMenuItem("SaveAs")"

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro Extended 9.1.1, Windows

What is the exact error message that is being displayed?

Was the form created in Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer?

The frustrating part is that the buttons works in Acrobat but not Reader. When I hit the e-mail button in Reader it says " Please Note: This form contains an e-mail submit button. Clicking the button will e-mail a file containing the data you type into the form, the form itself will not be sent." When I hit the same button using Acrobat it asks me to choose how I want to send the e-mail, creates it with the completed PDF, populates the name and waits for me to hit send before executing it in Outlook.

The Save As button also works in Acrobat bringing up the usual "Save As" window so you can navigate it to where you want on your system. When using Reader it says "Data typed into this form will not be saved. Adobe reader can only save a blank copy of this form. It gives you the option of printing the form as is with a print button, or at the bottom it gives you a button to save the blank copy or cancel.

Can I attach the form for you to look at or does this posting system not allow that? or e-mail it to you at another address? Heck I'd even do a phone call if you can figure out where to fix this.

Hi G,

I kept everything the same as described, I opened the document in Acrobat, chose advanced in the menu, then enabled the rights in reader and saved it under a new name. Now when I open it in under the new name with reader it allows saves and e-mails. Does it sound like that solution works?
