Hi all,
adding some elements in a dropdownlist field in my Form, I get this strange error:

Pdf creation failed

Reported Warnings/Errors
Font Service: Default font typeface is Myriad Pro.
Font License for Helvetica does not permit embedding. Font will be referenced.
Helvetica font could not be supported.
Encoding ISO-8859-1 is not supported.
Unable to write the 'default value' for the field
'topmostSubform[0].Page[0].Country[2]'

and the Mi LCD crashes.

Why this happens?

Thanks in advance.

Luigi

Helvetica generally is restricted and cannot be embedded in the form, but this won't cause the crash.

I think, that one of the fonts you use is damaged.
Go to the font folder and look for fonts (of course all Helvetica) that are only about 5KB.
Delete them all and reboot.
Then try again.

Hi Radzmar, I've checked in my Font folder (I'm using XP Pro), but I don't have any Helvetica font.
Maybe is this the problem?

Did you generate the whole form yourself, or didi you use an example form, that you're modifying?

It can be, that the example form uses Helvetica.
Have a look into the menu Extras of LCD.
There is a point "missing fonts".
Click it, to see if some font used in the form is not avalable o your system.
If yes, replace it with another font.

Yes it's an already present form that I've been modifying.
But I don't find the menu "Extras" in my LCD.
Where I can find it?

I had this problem as well. It turned out not to have anything to do with the font. One of my drop-down list items had no value associated with it. I had Specify Item Values checked in the Object:Bindings tab and a long list of values. Removing this item allowed me to save.
